Mikkie Hass - Lead Instructor

Mikkie (she/her) began her dance journey in 2013. A longtime fan of Swing Era music, she fell in love with the art form and never looked back. For the past 12 years, Mikkie has danced, taught, DJed, and organized in her beloved home state of Rhode Island. She owes much of her dance knowledge, growth, and passion to Daryl Begin and Jen Stout, who taught, mentored, and inspired her. As a dancer, Mikkie enjoys classic stylings, creative rhythms, and playful communication. She deeply values Lindy Hop’s history and strives to instill that same appreciation in her students.

Mikkie Hass - Lead Instructor

Rhianon (she/they) started their journey of Lindy Hop after seeing it portrayed in shows and movies, and quickly developed a passion for the dance. They started dancing when they were 16 and were taught primarily by Daryl Begin and Jen Stout at Providence Swings. They love playing with musicality and telling stories through movement. Rhianon has taught classes in Rhode Island with Brown Swing Club and Lil Rhody Lindy Hop and is excited to continue teaching at Providence Swings.

Madison Burtan - Instructor in Training

Maddy (she/they) comes from a musical theatre and dance background. She often forced her father to learn dances with her in the kitchen. She started taking Lindy Hop classes at Lil Rhody Lindy Hop, with Mikkie Hass as the lead instructor, and fell in love. She attended workshop weekends like the American Lindy Hop Championships and Beantown camp, which helped her build her skillset. She is teaching for the first time and is thrilled to get more people involved in this community.
