Lindy B: Building on Fundamentals

Lindy B will be friendly to pure beginners but builds on Fundamentals covered in Lindy A. Footwork will be reviewed and expanded upon, and new basic movements will be introduced. No partner or experience necessary. Registration will open soon, so stay tuned!
Lindy B is a six-week session on Tuesday nights.
Dates: July 8th, July 15th, July 22nd, July
29nd, August 5th, and August 12th.
Lesson: 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM
Guided Practice: 8:30 PM - 9:00 PM

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Your GPS may take you to the front of the building at 249 Roosevelt Ave. In order to access the STUDIO you should pull into the lot that is on the corner of Roosevelt & Exchange streets, (same side as the building) and not the lot across from the building on Roosevelt Ave. You will see a sign for the Elisha Project.
Drive around to the back of the building and you will find the entrance. There is a sign for Metamorphosis and the entrance has some potted trees in front of it.

Learn the iconic jazz line dance, the shim sham! The shim sham originated as a tap dance routine in the 1920s and was adapted for swing dancers by Lindy Hop icon Frankie Manning in the 1980s. This solo jazz version remains a staple at any Lindy Hop social dance. No experience necessary; some solo jazz or Lindy Hop experience helpful but not required! In September, a performance opportunity will be offered to individuals interested in performing the Shim Sham! More information about the performance to come!

Join us on August 17 at Narragansett Brewery in Providence for our summer social dance, Rhythm & Brews! Beginner lesson at 4:00 PM, social dancing with DJ Coffee Mik from 4:30-8:00 PM. Admission is free, and a portion of the proceeds from Brewery food and drink sales will go toward funding our teacher training program! 🎶
